SECONDO PINOCCHIO

Based on Collodi’s masterpiece, Secondo Pinocchio revisits the story we all know with a rift between reality and illusion that is immediately made clear: the puppeteer interrupts the opening scene in which Pinocchio is chained and reminds him that that scene has been removed from the script.

From this moment on, the most famous episodes are re-proposed, in which fiction is scenically declared, starting with the creation of the puppet, who immediately rebels against Geppetto, up to the journey through the storm that will take Pinocchio to the island of industrious bees where he will meet his double.

All this while keeping the protagonist in his rebellious and spiteful spirit, even towards the puppeteers themselves. A paradoxical spectacle that moves and amuses, a search for the self that grows, comes into conflict with itself and in the end redeems itself.
