progetto IO LEGGO FORTE
The series of performances “Masterpieces of Literature” will begin on Sunday 2 March 2025 at 5.00 pm at the Teatro La Vittoria in Ostra as part of the IO LEGGO FORTE! project by the CentroVoce Laboratory, winner of the 2023 Ada alta voce call for proposals, promoted by Cepell, the Center for Books and Reading, the Institute of the Ministry of Culture, in partnership with the Municipality of Senigallia, and the Union of Municipalities of the Marca Senone and Valmivola.
IO LEGGO FORTE project! aims to promote reading aloud as an educational, cultural and social tool, actively involving schools, families and local communities. Through an innovative and inclusive approach, the aim is to harness the power of words and storytelling to create meaningful connections and stimulate participation.
The festival opens with Alan Bennett’s reading-show LA SOVRANA LETTRICE, which will feature the narrators Beatrice Gregorini and Fabrizio Raggi and live musical accompaniment by Daniele Marconi on double bass.
LA SOVRANA LETTRICE is one of the most entertaining stories by the great English writer that makes us reflect on the power of reading and how it can change our lives. By pure accident, the Queen of England has discovered those strange objects that are books, she can no longer do without them and tries to spread the reading virus to everyone in her path. With what repercussions on his entourage, his subjects, the security services and especially on the readers will only be discovered at the end of the show. Because beyond the irrepressible laughter, this story offers us a superb twist – one of those flashes of genius that make us understand why Alan Bennett is considered a great master of comedy and contemporary theatre. The next event of the festival is scheduled at the Goldoni Theatre in Corinaldo for Sunday 30 March at 5 pm with the show THE DIARY OF ADAM AND EVE by Mark Twain.
