Inauguration of the photographic project exhibition NOI E NORI

Born from an idea by Agnese Rossini, an educator at Polo9, and Laura Merli, of the Opera Pia Lavatori Mariani Foundation, the exhibition recounts an emotional “journey” inspired by Nori De’ Nobili, which features some of the Foundation’s guests, thanks to twenty evocative images created by photographers Patrizia Lo Conte and Alfonso Napolitano.

The initiative has profound human, social, and artistic value, and was undertaken with the aim of highlighting how creativity and sharing can bring new and engaging experiences back to the Grandparents of the nursing home.

The project began in the summer of 2024, when the idea of having the Grandparents interpret some of Nori’s works sparked memories in some of them of the Villa with a hundred windows and of Bice, Nori’s sister, recovering the close bond they have with the area.

After identifying some of the works exhibited at the Nori De’ Nobili Museum, the Grandparents painted the backdrops themselves, researched the clothes and accessories, adapting and modifying them, and then visited the city museum. During the visit they enthusiastically recognized the paintings they themselves had chosen to represent, and subsequently posed in front of the lens of Patrizia Lo Conte and Alfonso Napolitano, giving life to the extraordinary exhibition proposal.

Trecastelli Mayor Marco Sebastianelli says: “The project was carried out through the synergy created between the Fondazione Opera Pia Lavatori Mariani, the Nori De’ Nobili Museum, Polo9 and the City of Trecastelli. We are proud to have participated in the creation of the NOI E NORI exhibition, a project that enriches the cultural journey of our territory, strengthens the bond between the bodies involved and with the Community”. “I would like to thank all the stakeholders in this initiative” – concludes Councilor for Culture and Tourism Liana Baci – “starting with the Foundation’s guests, the creators, the photographers and Polo9. I thank everyone who contributed to the realization of this project, which we can certainly define as a new and successful social project”.  The exhibition can be visited until June 2, 2025, during the opening hours of the Nori De’ Nobili Museum. Admission and visits, for individuals and groups, to both the exhibition and the museum, are free.
