I luoghi della mente

A major new project by the Museum and the Center for Studies on Women in Contemporary Visual Arts, the exhibition was created with the aim of highlighting a selection of drawings and paintings by De’ Nobili, focusing on the themes of landscape and still life. An unprecedented opportunity to present, compared to the sixty-one works permanently exhibited at the Museum, other “pages” of the pictorial story of the painter of Marche origin.

The exhibition therefore focuses on part of the large collection of works created by De’ Nobili, an artist who has gone through different thematic moments in an extensive and varied activity.  In the works we can see places she experienced and traveled, but also places of memory, places – symbols, linked to memories, affections. A variety of paintings of cities, seascapes, utopian landscapes, some born from his vivid imagination and emotions intertwined between reality and dream, but also still lifes and flowers, from which very often emerge characteristic features of his poetics, such as the refined power of sign and color.

The exhibition is promoted by the Department of Culture of the City of Trecastelli and the Nori De’ Nobili Museum, in collaboration with the Carlo Emanuele Bugatti Association – Friends of Musinf, with the patronage of the Commission for Equal Opportunities between Men and Women of the Marche Region.

The appointment with I LUOGHI DELLA MENTE – Works from the Nori De Archive’ Nobili is therefore scheduled for Saturday 9 September, at 6.30 pm. Admission and guided tours, for individuals and groups, to both the exhibition and the museum, are free.
