The magic of ancient puppet art returns to Trecastelli this summer with Teatrino Pellidò, a show designed for children aged 4 to 94.
The ancient art of puppetry is still a living art, having survived prohibitions, censorship, wars, sofas, and social media over the centuries.
Teatrino Pellidò is made up of young wooden actors, hand-carved by Brina Babini and brought to the stage by puppeteer Vincenzo Di Maio, who, along with his burlesque characters, will take you through a world of stories, laughter, and wonder.
Teatrino Pellidò, a puppet show for children aged 4 to 94, is promoted by the City of Trecastelli and the Department of Culture.
Participation in the shows is free.

PROGRAM The festival will open with the show GIUANNI BENFORTE, scheduled for Thursday 10 July 2025, at 9 pm, in Piazza Roma in Castel Colonna di Trecastelli.
The second event, CICCIO NINETTO CHE ANDÒ PER MARE, will be held on Thursday, July 24, again at 9 pm, in the evocative Largo Maria Lisa Cinciari Rodano in Monterado di Trecastelli.
The festival will continue on Thursday 31 July with ARI ARI CIUCCO MIO CACCIA I DENARI, at the Brugnetto Multipurpose Track, at 9pm.
Grand finale with the show CERVELLI DI PLASTICA, scheduled for Thursday, August 7th, at 9 pm, at the Ponte Rio Social Center.
