Loris Wood is a twelve-year-old with dreams of becoming the greatest environmental journalist of all time. Together with his friends Aron and Mirta, he will have to understand why a Bubbles&Bath, a rubber duck that sank in the Pacific Ocean 30 years earlier, arrived on the beach of their town, Fumigata. What’s happening to the ocean? There really is a plastic island the size of France, and why, they say, a secret organization there, doesn’t want Loris Wood to reveal an impending environmental disaster?

The story, inspired by real-life news stories, aims to raise awareness among younger generations about green issues with a push to take action firsthand.

With the help of a planisphere, the laboratory brings the children back to life the journey of the famous rubber ducks that sank in the ocean thirty years ago, discovering, together with Loris Wood, the plastic islands that threaten our oceans. Immersed in the story of Iride Bartolucci, courageous boys and girls will transform into young photojournalists in defense of the sea.
