From 1900 to 1970, women were uncredited protagonists of Gabicce Mare’s economic development. Through the stories of various female figures, engaged in various work sectors, the city’s productive and social network is reconstructed in the so-called short century. Human events that combine work and private life; women entrepreneurs, but also women in community service as teachers, doctors, midwives. WE WANTED MORE’ WINDOWS is an invitation to reflect and shed light on the importance of women’s work in today’s and yesterday’s society.
The presentation of VOLEVAMO PIU’ FINESTRE is promoted by the City of Trecastelli, the Nori De’ Nobili Museum and the Municipal Library. Participation in the event is free.
