Flanked by a mighty tower is Palazzo Comunale since 1200. In the main staircase you can admire a canvas by Bruno d’Arcevia depicting the symbols of the city.
Inside the Council Room 10 paintings by Gaspare Ottaviani, painter of the ‘700 depict Arcevia and its nine Castelli.
The town hall, one of the oldest in the region (attested since 1259), with the beautiful Gothic entrance and the imposing crenellated tower (36 m) with the rare internal stone staircase still walkable. Further on, on the right, we see Palazzo Mannelli, a splendid late Renaissance building, among the most beautiful in the province. Built in the second half of the XVI century by the bishop of Nocera Girolamo Mannelli and his nephew Flaminio, members of the noble family of the place, the palace passed into the property of the marquises Pianetti di Jesi in the ‘700. The severe and elegant facade is adorned with a beautiful portal with the coat of arms. Interesting interior with wall decorations stucco and inlay, drapery, decorated doors and large fireplaces of the time.
