Like the porticos, so too Piazza Garibaldi, also called Piazza del Duomo, there evokes the most splendid period of the fair: in fact it is located at the center of the urban expansion work planned by Pope Lambertini in the mid-1800s.

Thanks to the recently completed redevelopment works, Piazza Garibaldi creates an urban environment of great charm and beauty that houses public buildings of great architectural value: Palazzo Becci, the Cathedral of San Pietro Apostolo, the Palace of the Bishops with the Diocesan Pinacoteca, the Micciarelli Palace (formerly Filanda), the San Rocco Auditorium, the Customs Palace (Il Doganone) and the College Ginnasio Pio IX.

Particularly noteworthy is the Palazzo Micciarelli, designed by architect Pietro Ghinelli and housed in his court at the beginning of the nineteenth century, a wooden condominium theatre, and the Cathedral, rich in works of art.
